The stand itself is made from lightweight plastics and weighs only a few KG. The clever base design of the product incorporates an internal weight that helps to prevent the unit from toppling which is certainly important if the display is being used in a high-traffic area where it could be accidentally knocked or bumped.
In 2013, we saw a big increase in cardboard totem type displays from manufactures such as Marins who produce a product that 'pops up' using a clever elasticated mechanism within the frame. Unfortunately, the creases in the cardboard material detract from the overall look of folding cardboard designs such as the Lama from Marins and in addition, such units are a 'throw away' display solution given that the printed graphic cannot be updated.
We expect to see Totem type banners increasing in popularity during 2014 and hope that the new Printdesigns Totem will fill the gap for those customers who want a double sided, totem but in a format that allows for updating graphic panels as cost effectively as possible for future promotional campaigns.
